Diet
Otters are carnivores which means they only eat meat. Fish are otters' favourite food, although they also eat amphibians, turtles and crayfish.

Swimming features
Otters get their swimming abilities by propelling their powerful tails and flexing their long bodies. They have webbed feet, water repellent fur to keep them warm and dry. They also have nostrills and ears that close in the water. They remain active in winter using ice holes to breath air. They can hold their breath underwater for about eight minutes.
